My Approach to CounsellingAt Compassionate Counselling my approach is integrative. This means that I am trained and experienced in using a range of psychotherapy theories and methods from psychodynamic and humanistic traditions. I also use cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness techniques where I consider these would be helpful. What this means for you is that just as you are unique, my approach will be uniquely tailored to suit your particular needs .
QualificationsI have a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (Birmingham University), and I am a qualified AAMET level 2 EFT practitioner.
I am committed to continuing professional development and regularly attend further training events and courses.
ExperienceAs well as several years in private practice, my experience also includes counselling within an NHS setting and many years working within an educational setting.
